I am not sure what Deplorable's infatuation with Chip is. I have never seen anyone defend a bad coach so fervently. He must be related. Yes, at the end of the day Chip was a bad HC. There is simply no other way to spin it. His record does not lie. In six years at UCLA:
35 wins 34 loses
9 total wins against teams with above .500 records which indicates 26 of his wins were against bad teams. That is simply terrible.

The "improvement" was mostly an illusion created by weak schedules. There were three of four good wins in there, but not enough to justify his salary. Chip was paid over $30 million to achieve this amazing record. The team was weak when Chip arrived and it was weak when he left thanks to another stellar recruiting class (ranked 92nd) There is little talent on the current roster outside of a few players. His recruiting was terrible no matter how hard Deplorable tries to spin it. He b!tches and moans about the NIL situation at UCLA being to blame, but Chip had no interest in recruiting before NIL either.
