Coach DeShaun Foster was interviewed on the Petros & "Money" radio show during the 6:00 p.m. hour this evening. I haven't seen or heard today's press conference that's discussed in earlier threads, and I missed some part of the beginning of this radio interview, but I came away from it quite impressed!
Maybe someone (Dr.Bruin?) can find a link to the interview to share here?
A few things:
* He's not going to discuss specific schemes until he has coordinators in place
* After his selection was announced, his phone blew up with coaches and others, some apparently angling for jobs on his staff. It sounds like he'll have a lot to choose from
* The hosts asked him about the Spring Game, and whether it would be at Spaulding or maybe Drake. He said he wants to do it at the Rose Bowl, as part of a big event as a gift to fans
* It's possible the training camp in San Bernardino (or some other such location) will be re-instituted. DeShaun said he really liked it, and he said it worked well to bring the team together and enhance camaraderie
* DeShaun's goals for the players: Okay, sorry, I can't remember all he said, but it included respect for self, respect for the game, respect for the opponent, and going out and having fun.
