You tacitly indicate you reserve the right to start ragging about Coach Foster at your earliest convenience. Where would UCLA football (and basketball) be without unreasonable fan expectations? Demands constantly way, way out of proportion to the material support provided. UCLA fandom has deservedly become infamous for that.
In case you haven't noticed, I'm getting more and more company in my opinion about the transformation of college football and basketball into AAA pro leagues. Yes, you love to point out that the media money is currently better than ever. For me, there are still other values apart from money.
I never "promised" anything (except very recently when some people advocated for Cheatie Pete Carroll as UCLA's next coach). And yes, every year my decision about renewing season tx gets harder. But I liked Kelly in part b/c his program was populated by quality students ("books and ball"), and it was clean and disciplined. We'll see if CDF follows a similar path.
