When a program achieves the ultimate success (winning a championship) and it loses 8 million dollars something is inherently wrong with that endeavor. When you pay your coaches more than 2 times the total revenue that sport generates something needs to change.
If one spends the same amount of money on the same sport and one generates 1mm (in an awful season) and the other loses 8mm when it excels, THATS. A problem.
