Here, he lumps Kal and UCLA athletics together as if their fiscal situations are similar. That's the spin. Read the article and you find Kal's already stealing 37 M$ from their general fund, and for the next 7 years will be getting less than 20% what UCLA will get in media revenue. That's about as similar as Sears Roebuck and Amazon.
Oh, but Wilner's still pushing the Calimony notion. However, he now sounds a bit less confident. I can't recall him ever before so prominently using an "if" within that narrative.
