from day 1 apparently! I would guess we offered around $50K and TAM gave him a car, $100K+ and addl bonuses if he starts. An insurance policy and potential future starter deal for them and still paying out more than us! It's a different league between the haves and have nots now.

Also probably why there are rumors that Chip maybe leaving to take an OC position in the NFL or for one the haves of the NIL world. He sees the writing on the wall and probably why he went on a rant about NIL destroying CFB as it won't change for a while before something to control it or a salary cap, as you say.
