you could fake an injury and prepare a play while the ‘hurt’ player was being attended on. Then everyone is lined up for the restart of play. At least now, it will cost you 10 seconds just like if you purposely get a penalty to stop play. Because Texas didn’t accept the 10 second penalty, it stays an officials time out.
