The Board has been pretty quiet for a while, so I figured I’d throw a few things out there that I’ve been wondering about.
It seems to me that all the hype surrounding Niko puts him pretty high on the list of possibilities. Having said that, I don’t think he’ll even be the best player on the team, especially early in the season. As I’ve said before, I think Petty will be the best player on the floor in a lot of games. But I just can’t see him generating the kind of attention it will take to be considered among the best at the guard position nationally.
So here’s my guess: Dailey.
I think Dailey is set up to have a great year. He will unquestionably be the leader of this team. The question is whether he can put up the kind of numbers it will take to get national attention. I think he just might.
If the team is among the best in the league and the Bruins pick up a couple of big wins against teams like Arizona and Texas, I think Dailey could find himself in the conversation for All- American honors.
