if you split the Big 10 into West and East coast divisions, surely the money won't be split evenly at that point? Because the TV revenue comes from your Midwestern folk tuning in to watch their Midwestern teams play, and now they happen to be playing UCLA and USC. West coast viewership will lag significantly if UCLA and USC play mostly teams in their "West coast division" and maybe a couple games against the traditional Big 10 teams. The Big 10 has no incentive to make our lives easier from a logistics/travel standpoint, I don't think.
