Here's my problem, ej (not that anyone cares): it's not just what happened in East Lansing. Cronin's behavior this past week is but the most recent in a long pattern of poor decision making and unprofessionalism. If the guy were in his 30s, maybe I'd be more willing to give him some benefit of the (considerable) doubt. But Cronin is in his mid-50s. This is who he is. This is his personality. All the anger management counseling in the world isn't going to change the man.
Anyway, the other important point is that our team is not performing well from year to year. This is the second year in a row we've fallen well short of expectations, and I'm sorry but that's just not acceptable for UCLA basketball. We should be competing for league and national titles every, single, year. Period.
Cronin needs to be fired, and there's never been a better time than now for this to happen.
