I agree with most of what you wrote, ej. However, I will say that from Cronin's angle, he could not see the nature of the contact from Jamerson's hand to the Michigan State player's hands. I do think it was not unreasonable to assume from his angle of view that it was an overly aggressive, even flagrant foul. From our angle, as shown on tv, it was easy to see that it wasn't flagrant, and really nothing more than just a good hard foul. Even if it were flagrant, Cronin's reaction was way over the top. But again, I agree with virtually everything else you said.
