Here's a of 4 consequtive NW possessions late in the game.

1:54 left. After a NW timeout, Martinelli makes a layup 8 seconds later

1:15 left. After a missed UCLA shot, Martinelli makes a layup 7 seconds later.

0:35 left. After a UCLA free throw Martinelli makes a 6-foot shot 6 seconds later

0:24 left. After a UCLA free thrown, Jake West makes a layup, 5 seconds later.

We gave up 8 points while requiring Northwestern to only use up 28 seconds off the clock.

I am not advocating dumb fouls, but we should at least put up SOME resistance, instead of giving up four consequtive layups.

What also doesn't help is running the clock down too far on our possessions and not getting good shots. We don't seem to be very good at that kind of late clock offense.
