options. He has 3, maybe 4, good defensive players and all of them are limited in one way or another. So what does Cronin do? The best he can do is try and put on the floor five guys who can do some scoring, play some defense, and try and tough out a win.
Wisconsin last night hit an ungodly percentage of their threes in the first half - partly due to the Bruins lack of defense and partly because sometimes that happens. Even wide open threes don't usually translate into 70%. And on the outside the Bruins couldn't hit a three the whole game. That usually doesn't happen but sometimes it does. change nay of that just a little bit and we could easily be looking at a Bruin win. a win even with all the negatives we are talking about.
I think that's the way Cronin and his staff are looking at this season. It's not the best of things but I just don't see Cronin having any other choice at this point.
