Given where this team was ranked to begin the season, and given the enormous investment in this roster, Cronin needs to finish top 3 in league (right behind Purdue and Michigan) and reach the S16 or better. I’m sorry, but anything short of that is just not hitting the mark for UCLA basketball, especially at this point in a coach’s tenure.
Cronin’s main flaw as a coach is his inflexibility and inability to assume responsibility for his team’s struggles. This, more than anything, will lead to Cronin being done at UCLA.
