I'm not rah-rah for Mick Cronin, as much for personality and playing style as anything else. I think not doing whatever was necessary to retain Mara was easily the biggest mistake of his UCLA tenure.
BUT, I don't think you can just dismiss him and his career as being "mediocre." The guy has amassed over 500 wins, and has more wins than ANY other coach in American age 55 or younger. You don't do that being mediocre.
