This coming season is going to be interesting to my mind because Cronin appeared to get players in the transfer portal who, besides Dent, are question marks as to their ability to get the job done. We'll find out if Cronin went after the guys he thought would fit his program who can be taught to play his way, or maybe he went out, after Dent, and got the guys he could afford who might fit into the positions of need. Other coaches appeared to be able to afford multi high level players. Cronin and UCLA looked, at least on the surface, like all they were really able to afford were 1 high level player and 1 who might be able to recapture high level status. We'll see if Cronin is sly like a fox or working at a financial handicap and doing the best he can under that situation.
