talking about your comment on Wooden. There were dress codes all over the place. Women teachers were forbidden to wear pants. Ties and sport coats were required of men. Haircuts (and certainly no beards) were required of students through high school. Different times.
on the thread itself, there are always people who react negatively to others who have success. Caitlin Clark did a TON for women's basketball. Lots of women are going to benefit from what she has done - and is still doing looking forward, among them some of UCLA's current players and a whole generation of girls. I'm a fan.
