how Biden was getting frustrated by Netanyahu was surfacing, and yet there was no visible change in policy except for an abstantion on some UN vote a while back. That has been the totality of his push back.

Yeah, he's 80+ year old and this is exactly the kind of thing that makes me uncomfortable about having octogenerians as leaders: they naturally think that the world works pretty much the same way it worked when they were in their 30s or 40s, coz otherwise, god forbid, we may enter into a territory where experience may turn into a liabilty?

He is operating with the assumption that no matter what position he takes he is the only alternative, i.e., "who else are they gonna vote for?" The same arrogance that sank H. Clinton's bid for presidency, IMO.
