at the campus 1:40 on Tuesday night, the night of the mob attack, and did pretty much nothing, just watched the attacks go on for about an hour and at 3:00 am they stepped in and separated the groups after most of the attackers had left.
Was any of the attackers arrested? The Times does not comment on that, and I am pretty sure that none was.
The next day they descend on the encampment, plastic bullets and all, and arrest 130 people, including those who were leaving the encampment itself.
I have opinions on that obviously but I will withhold because of the outside chance that those counter-protestors leaving the site were being picked up by the police. Fat chance, but just in case. I don't want to get too far ahead of the facts.
