Trump Administration To End Program Keeping Drug Prices Lower For Millions Of Seniors
The Trump administration is planning to cut a subsidy program that has been helping lower the cost of prescription drugs for people on Medicare, potentially raising prices for millions of seniors in 2027, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The program is known as Part D, the Journal reported Tuesday, noting some 25 million Americans could be affected.
An administration official told the outlet that the plans would increase by less than $10 per month for around 30% of Part D enrollees; for around 45% of enrollees, the increase would be between $11 and $20 per month.
