The real problem with measles is not just measles it's that for many people it wipes out your immunity. They call it immune amnesia. So you get over the measles great you survived, and then you start catching one thing after another that you haven't had in ages if ever because it wiped out your entire immune system. So you might not die of measles but might from something else you caught because of it.
The whole thing is so stupid, MAGA people are now insisting we all used to go to Measles parties in the 70s our parents held to expose us when we wee young. No you idiots those were NOT measles parties they were chickenpox parties. SOME people may have done measles but it wasn't a thing at all but chickenpox was. But a bunch of 50 to 60 something MAGA morons have misremembered those parties and convinced lots of people measles isn't so bad
