One of those two has spent his entire career playing for one of the NFL's most dysfunctional franchises and in year 5 is now on his 3rd head coach whereas the other has spent his entire career playing for one head coach at one of the League's better run franchises. Does the name Urban Meyer ring a bell? Pedersen is a decent coach, but between the roster mess that he was left by Urban Meyer and being paired with GM Trent "The Destroyer of Franchises" Baalke, he never really had a chance. Maybe a fresh start with another new coach and a new GM can get Lawrence back on track, but it might just be too late with him having spent too much time in Jacksonville to be fixable. Regardless, where a QB is drafted tends to have as much or more to do with how successful they are than their talent alone. The right situation has elevated lesser talents while the wrong ones have sank the careers of plenty of promising QBs.
