I’ll take the opportunity to put forth my crazy conjecture that if you can’t recruit like too sec teams, the best college offens is run a spread, then situationally bring in reserve ol/dl for power plays.
You recruit good qb’s receivers and when you want power you can put more athletic dl’s in the backfield and on the edges for numerical advantage. I’d do that on 1st and 10 after a change of possession occasionally so the D can’t adjust.
You only have to have 2 or 3 plays ready.
