Portal is more important than HS. Chip led this theme which I suspect is the biggest motivation for 247 and Rivals to agitate for his removal. The mythology of HS star ranks and team ranks is (was) a primary off season source of revenue. They had to protect it. (Only 5*s matter, the rest is noise.) Chip and transfer were a threat.
CFB will increasingly focus on transfer talent and UCLA should be in big time because it’s cheaper, faster, gives immediate and more reliable on field results, and carries lower academic admissions requirements.
Think transfer first, HS second.
