yeah, that's nuts, and says something about priorities.
I'd rather go with the Ivy League approach and let the pro leagues develop their own damn developmental leagues.
There's a reason I gave up on pro season tix for college. Part of it is tailgating on the golf course with my alumni buddies instead of at an asphalt parking lot, but there is a lot to be said about rooting for players who are more about the name on the front of the jersey than the back, especially in Team sports.
