The catalyst for the interviews was Jarmond's non-renewal

by Jarmond.

Jarmond made the first move, Kelly the second. The idea of the proposal and its rejection is secondary to the fact that Chip's contract had less than a year to run. That is the prime factor for his leaving.

Jarmond is a disingenuous, government program administering mediocrity. No insight, no vision, no talent, no leadership. He's a glad handing, smooth talking fundraising sycophant. He's tanked all dimensions of the football program, from staging the RB, to boosting NIL, to managing the coaching staff (Lynn's departure, for example), to scheduling, to financial management ($57mm deficit). This is all on Jarmond, yet the parasitic Bruin media puts all of this on Chip to preserve their access and their incomes. Ridiculous, yet our hypnotized fan base just nods in agreement.

I hope the chancellor declines to extend Jarmond, and then let's see if he interviews or not. (He will, big time.) The whopping $57mm financial hole Jarmond has punched into the athletic department might be a problem for the new chancellor.
