been thrown out before. Just off the opinion that the obvious is college football is heading to professionalism, then the other obvious is most of the FBS programs would have to shut down or join Division II or III. Most football programs in the FBS do not operate in the BLACK. I would assume that the NCAA that governs over the football programs that would generate the needed revenue to pay athletes, would probably have to cease to exist and have a completely different entity take over. Even in that case, I would have to guess the NCAA would still have to exist in order to still govern Division II and III football, all other sports including womens' and then still figure out what to do with the FBS programs that would have to drop out of the upper group. If that was the case, then would much have really changed with the NCAA in regards their rules for student athletes?

Obviously a union is going to want to have control over the football players which is great for the ones that can play football for a program that is able to pay them, but then I guess the question now becomes, do you force the other athletes to pay in?

The way things look now, if college football is headed to professionalism, Ucla football and athletics is really screwed.
