Ucla has two students for each employee. That isn't a business of any sort. It's a social welfare program. And you can use football as a proxy for their gross incompetence.

Ucla is chronically stuck in mediocrity while less "elite" schools thrive. The administrative, clock punching, pension accruing bureaucrats at Ucla can't compete in a capitalist setting like CFB. They haven't the imagination or skills necessary to build or maintain consistent success in football. Elite? Uh,no. All that they claim to be in the sport was achieved by their ancestors ending in 1998. Jarmond is the latest faker to take this hapless school's football program to the depths of oblivion.

They consider themselves elite based upon applications. Has anyone ever measured their output, the quality of their graduates and judged those to be elite? Is there an exit exam? No. We have no way to measure the true quality of the school.

Ucla's now just a big publicly funded, social welfare blob attached to some hospitals and a beautiful park for a campus all paid for by taxpayers, naturally.

Ucla couldn't manage itself out of a wet paper bag.
