Chip probably asked for money for assistants since he'd just been outgunned by Usc for Lynn. Jarmond probably said no. Jarmond couldn't run a lemonade stand and had Ucla in a financial mess.
When Chip's needs weren't addressed, and in light of no extension to his contract, the logical thing to do would be to look around. So he did. Jarmond showed Chip the door.
This is 100% Jarmond's doing. Let's not scapegoat Chip for all the incompetence Ucla brings to the football program.
Jarmond needs to leave, and in a perfect world, the football program needs to be managed under contract by a private sports management enterprise. I refer to it as Wasserman Aikman.
