As I have posted before, I think the priorities at UCLA for AD are:

2) High graduation rate for athletes
3) Balance the budget
4) Win.

#2 & #3 may be reversed, but the first three items are ALL higher priorities than winning.

UCLA is already the most applied-to school in the country. The finances of the athletic department are a pittance compared to the over UCLA budget.

We may live and die over the sports teams. The Chancellor doesn't.
