I'm guessing for those that may have been interested would have been asking for quite a bit of money. I don't remember a HC search this late before. I'm also guessing that anyone interested would have thought there is serious question of how many players would transfer immediately and how would you be able to put together the staff you want this late?
Of the names that have been mentioned here, it seems like they will get their opportunities in the not too far off future and go into better situations. I just get the feeling the Foster hire probably factored in keeping the existing players right now.
Strange to think, I remember when Foster wouldn't even acknowledge Ucla as his school when he was in the NFL. I just hope the players are motivated to play hard for Foster since it seems like their choice. One thing I can say for him is we did have some pretty good RB play and those players were usually guys no one really knew about.
