The 2nd team has the knowledge advantage on the first pair of possessions, but if the game makes it past that then the going-first advantage returns. Depending on how things shake out either could be an advantage. It seems at least close enough to consider auxiliary factors, like wanting to rest the defense

Obviously in this case the Chiefs got about as much of an advantage out of it as they could've. But if the Niners had punched it in before 4th down and made the XP, it probably puts the Chiefs in a position where they'd want to go for 2 after their own TD.
