Does not speak very well for the health of the program. His dollars and power over decision making have not translated into success, quite the contrary. And the current situation is a direct result of him putting his ego and desire to flex his standing as the top dog in the donor pool over that of the program. Money matters, but his money turned off the spigot from lots of others that ultimately mattered more. Chip was his guy and he was the one donor that Chip knew he had to make time for.
