Mora left him with cr*p. He **also** screwed the pooch that first year in recruiting, by, oh, NOT RECRUITING and taking advantage of the massive media splash and hype. That first class should have been loaded. It wasn't, and we paid for it for years, tho we did get good once the transfer portal prowess kicked in, even with the limited transfers we could get due to academics, and eventually non-competitive NIL.
Chip did a good job in getting talented transfers who could perform at a high level, despite our NIL/academic issues.
