When his Memphis team beat Ucla, I remember thinking whatever this guy is doing, I sure wish Ucla had more of that.
When he went to FSU, I think it took them a while to take to him and I think he really had to change a culture down there that finally paid off. If you remember when Jimbo Fisher left for A and M, A and M had tremendous facilities and FSU was falling way behind. From what I understand, Norvell has been pretty instrumental in getting that brought up to speed also. And I think he is also in his low 40's in age.
Whether Norvell is being seriously considered or not, I don't know. That guys sure seems like a pretty legit HC to me and seems to have huge upside.
