a few mentions of DeBoer. He seems to be an outstanding coach. But, personality-wise, I think Lanning is a better fit. Lanning has a bit of an edge to him. DeBoer is too mellow, will only talk about the positives. I like them both (for what little I know), but DeBoer doesn't seem to have an Alabama vibe.
I think Lanning may be the front-runner.
Kiffy, as I've said before, he has too much clown make-up to wipe off his face. I'd guess Bama doesn't want a Bozo, and Kiffy certainly has been a Boza. And, I think Bama is just traditional enough to not want a 50 y.o. guy (in 2 years) who has a g.f. in her 20's.
The article says Dab's is being too slow to adjust to the new recruiting environment. He's not a realistic candidate.
Just my opinions.
I sort of think that it's more likely that they will go w/ a lesser known guy. The current lists are just lists of the highest profile cfb coaches (except for Smart and Sark).
No mentions of Sark, but I think his baggage excludes him.
My darkhorse - Josh Huepel. He just signed a contract, so maybe his buyout is too big. But, he's turned Tennessee into a good football team. Seems like a very clean-nosed guy. Headwind vis-a-vis Alabama: his B-i-L is a Democratic former congressman.
