So sorry to hear the rumor about his wife's health. That's a human matter not a sports one.
I get the Kiffin talk - guy seems to have changed a lot - he says he's grown up - but it would take a lot more for me to believe he's got the maturity and the gravitas for the Alabama job - not putting together a team but managing a program at the very top of the college FB food chain. One of the true (forgive me for this) blue bloods)
This time of year they do want to move quickly to get started working toward next year - unless they choose to hire from within (now, not in the past)
