If true, it may actually end up being a pretty good deal, assuming he develops into the high-level player many expect him to be. Considering how much the market has inflated, the numbers aren't as surprising as they might seem. Dent reportedly received around $3 million the year before last, and this year the going rate for top players was closer to $6 million. If this player becomes the premier talent he's projected to be next season, securing him now at $6 million could ultimately look like a bargain.
