people love Cronin. Yes, he's tough but from what I've heard he is a really nice, kind, loyal guy as well who takes care of his players. Apparently the only reason Clark left was because Cronin couldn't wait to see if Clark got his extra year and Clark also couldn't wait. Other than Mara, Cronin has retained everyone he's wanted to retain. One has to look at that as a reflection of what Cronin's players think and feel about Cronin. If they didn't like him or didn't want to play for him they would leave but they don't. That said, every player is different and not everyone wants to play for UCLA and/or Cronin for whatever reason(s).
