with the Bruins rebounding. They still have a lot of work to do, but at least some of the times they aren't just watching as someone from the other team goes and gets the ball. Now the Bruins are fixing their men and then going for the rebounds themselves. They don't do it every time but they do it some times. I can only assume, or maybe it's just hope, they continue to improve and get more aggressive with their rebounding.
I was also heartened to see Booker play with some focused purpose. We all can see his potential, but he sometimes seems the least interested in trying to achieve that potential. His demeanor is just to cool. Last night there was just the slightest indication of a fire lit underneath him. I would like to see him move more in that direction.
In the presser he talked about getting into his stance which also heartened me. He has been too straight up in his stance. It's more difficult to move and react quickly if you're standing straight up with your knees close to locked. Bending his knees is another step in the right direction on his improvement path. He played well, but I would have liked to see more rebounds in his line. In my mind he should be working toward a nightly double double. He is good enough, or at least has the potential, to get double digit rebounds and points every night. And, the Bruins need that kind of production from him. That and a couple of blocks a game. He needs to be a much bigger presence in every game if they, as a team, will ever reach their collective potential.
