lack of floor leadership, lack of confidence by many of the players who often seemed afraid to put up a shot and lack of some really good scorers who could "make plays". Cronin's offensive system is pretty simple but it takes players who can make plays and make shots to make it work. The Bruins simply didn't have anyone they could consistently count on as a "go to guy" (although Andrews started to show some promise during the last several games).

I can't see them having those same "offensive problems" this coming season with the mix of athletic and skilled transfer players they have coming in. As you say, it won't happen immediately, but IMO, the offense will come together much quicker than the team defense and be significantly better than last year's weak offense. Better team rebounding too.

The difficult part, and maybe this is what you are referring to, is Cronin's defensive system concept that he coaches. That is something that takes a lot of time for most any player to adjust to and for the team as a whole. I agree that it probably won't be at it's best until maybe the year following this coming season assuming a few of the players who are here now stay around.

So I really don't think we see things much differently. My main point is that Cronin will have much more offensive firepower available this year (than he normally has had at the start of previous "retooling years") and that should help carry the Bruins till their defense catches up.
