For the first time students have the power to seek better situations, and dollars, for themselves.
The portal has added off-season excitement and has given opportunities to players that go to smaller schools and develop into stars. Think about Grant Nelson, in the past he would've spent his career at North Dakota State and not starred in the Final Four. Why, because he developed a little slower?
I get the whole continuity thing, but that's where coaches come in, can they build a roster or not.
IMHO, the transfer portal is a great thing for athletes and fans too.
