I watched practices from both Howland and Alford. Howland spent most of the time on defensive drills, Alford on shooting drills. I didn't see many of Cronin's practices but I assume they were more like Howland's.
Alford's teams shot approximately 37.5% on threes, Howland's 35% and Cronin's 34.5%. However Alford had a lot of good three-point shooters who were good when they got here. They didn't really improve.
I think the solution is just to recruit more good three-point shooters.
