not an expert but from my point of view, LSU's interior defense really got in our way trying to make closer shots and we just shot awfully for the first three periods of the game.
I'd say mostly it's LSU defense.
They actually have players who can prevent Betts from dominating inside but their defense made sense in playing UCLA - you have to fill the paint and prevent Betts and layups from beating you and take your chances with our outside shooting. Jones, Sontag and even Osborne have been in a shooting funk of late and that was obvious through especially the first three quarters.
Dugalic usually comes through from outside when the pressure is on late in games but she couldn't do anything today. Jones was 2-10 at one point from three point range, wound up 4-14.
But my observation is LSU tried to take away everything else and we couldn't take advantage from three point range
