I was at the game Saturday when the Bruins beat the Beavers 11-4 to even the series. Unfortunately, after Brandon Crawford's HR, one of his celebrating teammates yelled "F**K the Beavers" a couple of times, directed toward the OSU dugout. I was embarrassed to be a UCLA fan and I thought to myself that this could come back to haunt us in the third game.
It did on Sunday, when the Beavers got an 8th inning grand slam to beat the Bruins 8-7 and take the series 2-1, for the second year in a row. I wonder if Coach Savage heard the foul language Saturday and discussed it with the player. Not a good idea to treat opposing players that way, as Oregon found out in Eugene when fans taunted Kevin Love.
