but surprisingly the greens were not in the best of shape. The par 3 #14(?) is a fun down hill shot. I've played Lost Canyons (I forget if it was the Sky or Shadow course) and it was brutal. Winds were tuff but the bunkers and hilly fairways were tuffer! I had the chance to play Aviara for free (sponsered by one of our vendors) but my boss screwed me out that chance (may she burn in hell).

I'm headed to La Quinta this weekend Sat-Wed and will play all 3 public PGA courses, Stadium, Nicklaus and the Norman course. Possibly I may tee it up at La Quinta's Mountain and maybe the Dunes course.

I've played Trilogy in La Quinta but like SilverRock way more. Between the 2, I'd recommend SilverRock. I was real disappointed with the PGA Classic Club in Palm Desert (it's the Sunday course for the Bob Hope Tourney). It was hard to believe they host acutual PGA tournament play there.

The PGA in Beaumont (either course) is tough because of the winds. That 4 hours was a long day for me.

In North County, I've played Twin Oaks, Woods Valley, Temecula Creek, Castle Creek, Fallbrook, Warner Springs Ranch and my fav Meadow Lake.

This is just they ramblings of a very high handicapper.
