Come and see the great Wooden-Era teams play!

For years I had hoped someone in an official capacity would do something like this. When it was not forthcoming, I took matters into my own hands.

At my home in the Pasadena area, on January 13th--which is a Saturday, we will re-live the glory days of UCLA basketball by "journeying back in time" so to speak. Wooden-Era game films are rare, and broadcasts are practically non-existent. However, we will be enjoying both on Saturday, January 13th.

Interested? E-Mail me at the two following email addresses:

I will provide you with details on exactly how to get there. For now, I'll just tell you it's a hop skip and jump from the Rose Bowl.

You'll see the great Bruins teams of Lew Alcindor, Wicks/Rowe/Patterson/Bibby, and the "Walton Gang". It will be a day of rivalry games and glory both past and present.

That's right. Our current Bruin team is at the Galen Center for the first time ever and we'll enjoy that victory first. Once the game at U$C has ended, we'll watch the game films and see UCLA take down the Trojans a second time--RETRO STYLE! We'll also enjoy wins over Notre Dame and championship game victories.

Be here 11am. We'll do a Wooden Warm-Up for 30 minutes then turn our attention to this year's team. Game time is 11:30am. We'll pick right up where we left off with more Wooden-Era footage once the live game ends.

I searched for a name to comemorate this celebration of the greatness of John Wooden and the one that stuck was "Woodenstock". In the same way folks came from all over the nation to celebrate music, artistry, and freedom, Bruins and fans of the Bruins can congregate at Woodenstock to remember the past and look toward the future.

We've had visitors from the Bay Area, Las Vegas, and North Carolina at past gatherings! This time around I have a committment from a gentleman from Cleveland, OHIO! Those of you in the L.A. area, unless you're going to the game in person, what could be a better way to celebrate continued Bruin dominance over USC? And those of you who are going to Galen Center, come on by after the game and join the celebration!

No admission fee, just bring your enthusiasm. If you wish to bring food or beverage, that is your choice but just bring yourself and all the Bruin Pride you can muster.

GO!!!

FIGHT!!!

WIN!!!

BRUINS!!!!!
