I'd love to go, but I'm not paying >$1,000, under any circumstances, but especially not to sit in nosebleeds at sofi.
I usually go to The Harp in Costa Mesa.
A friend of mine took me to the open practice in Irvine the other day. It was awesome - we sat right on the rail at midfield. Best moment: Sergino Dest is a defender who has recently moved to an attacking position for the US. As he walked by, I said, "hey, Serge, how many backflips are you going to do?* He started laughing and nodding and said "I can't do those!" The obvious subtext of our conversation is me "when you score" him "so don't look for that when I score"
I've been a huge Dest fan since he came up, have his Ajax jersey. It was great that he was so cool.
Next best moment, there was about a 5 year old latino kid wearing a Pulisic jersey behind us with his dad, who was also in a US jersey. Just the cutest, most polite little dude. He and his dad were so into it. Go ahead and get mad at me, I sooooooo appreciate it when latinos are US fans. When a player would come by, the dad would ask everyone to spread out, so he could get a picture of the kid w/ the player from the 2nd row. I said "I've got a solution." I picked the kid up and put him on the rail. Every time a player walked by (signing autographs) I said to the player "picture with the little man?" It worked out great.
The little speech Poch gave to the crowd was great, too.
