Strickland was smokin' - Hawk got smoked a bit. Single, error on 2nd baseman, WP to advance runners to 2nd and 3rd (still no one out), walk to fill the bases. Fielder's choice at second allowed tying run to score. Runners at 1st and 3rd, one out now. Sacrifice fly to center scoring the go ahead run for SC. 5-4. Two outs. Brining in our closer turned out to be an opener for SC. Have find a way to close this out and find some way to turn it around again bottom of the 9th.
First things first - oops - stolen base, throw into center field, running goes ahead and takes third. two base error on that one. Lamb up for SC - 2-2 count. Pitch way inside - nearly hit him. 3-2. Now he did hit him. Runners at 1st and 3rd again. Not one of Hawk's greatest moments here. Carpentier up for SC. Stolen base - no throw this time (safer that way). 2-2 count to the batter (sound familiar?) This time got him swinging.
