Hawk in to pitch for UCLA in the top of the 9th. Did walk a batter on a 3-2 count but retired the side striking out Rodgers to end it bring the Bruins up in the bottom of the 9th.

UCLA opened with our #8 in the order. He had a great at bat, fighting off the pitcher with numerous foul balls and eventually hitting hard to short and the short stop couldn't handle it. Man on first. Next man bunted to move him over but the first baseman had the throw bounce off his glove - men on first and second, no one out and West coming up with Cholowsky waiting on deck. Inning is set up for us. Let's see if we can take advantage of it.

West tried to bunt but fouled it off. Savage playing for the one run we need to end it. Next pitch West got the bunt down, Purdue played it okay. Now UCLA runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out and Cholowsky up. Purdue naturally walked him to load the bases (best player in college baseball, move makes sense - make someone else beat you.

Levu up and said okay, I will - fly out to deep right, winning run tags up and UCLA WINS 4-3. Very happy with the win and even happier it's over and we got out of that one. Next up is USC in the semi finals
